Our story
One trouser, made properly
Most trousers make you pick a side. Jeans are easy but they never look considered. Suit trousers look sharp but you feel every hour you spend in them.
The Cove started with the pair we could not find: something with the polish of tailoring and the ease of the jeans already in the drawer. The answer turned out to be the fabric. A tonal herringbone weave reads as tailoring from across the room, so a plain tee suddenly looks intentional — no shirt, no jacket, no effort required.
The cut does the rest. Relaxed and straight from hip to hem, with room through the thigh and no taper at the ankle, so it falls cleanly over sneakers, loafers and boots alike. It is the kind of trouser you stop thinking about at 6pm.

Why we only make one
A new collection every season is a good way to sell more and a bad way to make anything well. We would rather keep working on the same cut — the drape of the weave, the height of the rise, where the leg breaks on the shoe — than start again twice a year with something we have never made before.
It also makes your side of it simpler. There is one decision to make, and it is which colour. Brown reads richer and sits next to black, navy and denim. Beige is lighter and lifts darker tops. Both are neutral enough to wear weekly, which is why we offer the two together, with the second pair at under half price.
Sold unhemmed, on purpose
Legs are not a standard length, so the trouser arrives at a single unhemmed inseam and can be finished to yours. Wear it first, decide on the break, then hem it. A pair finished to your leg looks made for you, because at that point it is.
If the size is wrong
Buying trousers online is a guess, so we try to take the risk out of it. You have 30 days from delivery to decide, your first size or colour exchange is free, and if something is genuinely faulty we replace it. Sizes are waist measurements in inches — order the number you already wear.
